“The national flag is a symbol of our national identity and unity,” one Afghan citizen wrote on his account.
Other Afghan citizens have warned the presidential palace against lowering the country’s national flag, saying: “lowering the national flag is an insult to the Historical Figures in Afghanistan and they will protest against it”.
However, the Residents of the capital emphasize that any government that takes over the power in Afghanistan must respect the national values and not insult them. One Afghan citizen wrote: “ The national flag isn’t made by Hamid Karzai and Ashraf Ghani. This flag dates back to more than a hundred years ago in Afghanistan.”

They emphasize that changing the tricolor flag of Afghanistan is unacceptable to them, and they will fight against it.
Many Afghans believe that the flag of a party can’t be the national flag of a country. The Taliban, as a party should respect the national values of the countryman/women.
